Over a Crescent Moon

"He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down."

Psalm 104:19 KJV

Taken with a DSLR and a small telescope, this simple image is one that nearly anyone could take. It is comprised of about 200 individual exposures aligned and stacked together to help reduce noise.

No special equipment, such as a tracker or mount, was used to follow the moon. Instead, the series of images were taken from a stationary tripod. Later, the individual frames were aligned and stacked using free software. The final processing was done in Photoshop. Nothing was added or composited into the frame.
